We are thrilled to announce that Geno's new cd "Le Cowboy Creole" has received an official nomination in the brand new "Best Zydeco or Cajun Music Album" category for the 50th Annual Grammy Awards to be held in Los Angeles on February 10th, 2008.

Geno and the band are honored to be nominated and also wish to congratulate Terrence Simien, The Pine Leaf Boys, Roddie Romero, Racines, The Lost Bayou Ramblers and Lisa Haley for also being nominated in this debut year for the brand new Zydeco/Cajun Grammy category.   Acknowledgements as well to all of the additional Creole zydeco and Cajun who were also included in the initial consideration balloting.    It is truly a historic year for the music of Southwest Louisiana and we feel that everyone should be honored for keeping our traditions alive and rockin'!

Tuesday August 14, 2007:   Official Release date of Geno's new CD!

Geno Delafose is finally back with his long-awaited 5th cd - Le Cowboy Creole - released on August 14th, 2007 by Times Square Records.

Recorded in Crowley, Louisiana at the legendary Master Trak Enterprises - the disc was cut at the same studio and using the same engineer who tracked Geno's father John Delafose's classic debut Eunice Playboys record Zydeco Man no less than 27 years earlier.   The result is a timeless new cd that captures the distinctive classic-era Creole zydeco and Cajun sound while bringing in an amble-blend of country, rock and r&b to keep the groove fresh and modern.

Produced by:  Geno Delafose and David Gaar  Engineered and Mastered by:  Mark Miller           Mixed by: Mark Miller, Kevin Ardion, David Gaar and Geno Delafose
